“Easter and Uncertainty” (4/20/14)

NOTE: Due to technical difficulties only the last 13 minutes of the message was recorded.
Make sure you listen to last week’s Easter Cantata recorded on Palm Sunday.

Pastor Blaik J. Westhoff
Luke 24:1-12
1. Has there been a time when something you thought to be 100% true
was cast into doubt – a time when something of which you were
completely certain became uncertain to you? Explain.

2. Why would a goodly number of people go to their deaths for
something they knew to be a lie?

3. Isn’t there more to life and death than what we can see by
dissecting something and looking at it under a microscope?  Write down
a few examples you can think of.

BONUS ANSWER:
Easter is the essence of the Christian life: trading certainty in the
power of sin and death for certainty in the power of God!

2. You have heard the news for yourself “He is not here; he has
risen!”.  What are some ways you can share this good news with someone
