“We Are Transformed and Invigorated” (5/20/12)

1. In your own words describe what is means to be “transformed”.

2. Can remember a time when you felt “invigorated”? What motivated it?

3. Barnabas means “Son of Encouragement”. Do you have a “Barnabas” in your life? Are you a “Barnabas” to someone else?

4. Antioch is where the disciples were first called “Christians”. Can you recall the first time you were called a “Christian”? When did you first consider yourself a “Christian”?

5. God seems to specialize in “redeeming lives” for His service and glory. Have you ever felt unworthy of serving God because of your past?

1. In one of these stories Aaron acted against God and in the other for God. Can you remember a time when you rebelled against God and then later returned?

2. After they had all seen what God had done for them, why do you think the people were so anxious to give their valuables for the making of a false idol?

3. Why was Aaron so easily led astray by the people?

4. Describe a way that you can be the type of supporter Aaron and Hur were to Moses in Exodus 17.

5. Aaron had been redeemed for God’s use in spite of his past wrongs. How have you experienced redemption?
