“We Allow God to Broaden Our Outreach” (8/19/12)

Pastor Blaik J. Westhoff,
Acts 18:1-22

1. Are most of your friends pretty much like you?

2. By the time Paul makes the journey from Athens to Corinth, he is preaching exclusively to Jews in synagogues. Why?

3. Has God ever “shook you loose” from too tight of an association with others? If so, what was it like?

4. If God hasn’t “shook you loose” before, how do you think He might do this to you? How might God do this to Tabor Church as a whole?

5. Do you believe God wants us to reach out to people who are not like us?

Further Study:
Isaiah 53:12
12b He poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Luke 7:34
34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’

1. Why, do you think, Christ was numbered with transgressors?

2. Who is in need of salvation? The righteous or sinners?

3. Do you ever feel as though we should not allow sinners into Tabor church?

4. How can Christ use you to share His love with others?
