Worship with us, the second Sunday in Advent . . . December 9, 2012
Peace . . . listen to the news and you will hear nothing of peace in the world . . . but there is Good News! We can have peace with God, because God so loved the world, that He sent His Son – Emmanuel, God with us!
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ~Isaiah 9:6 NKJV~
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, Who has compassion on you. ~Isaiah 54:10 NIV~
Jesus came into a broken world – MY broken world and gave ME peace! No, I don’t have peace as the world may define peace . . . I still have problems, and sometimes conflict enters my life . . . BUT I have peace with God!
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. ~Isaiah 53:5 NIV~
Experience the only genuine Peace that there is in this world, the Peace that comes from Jesus, the Prince of Peace. This is one of the precious gifts of Christmas. Come and worship in praise and thanksgiving to God Who gives us true peace.
