3rd Sunday in Advent . . . Sunday 12/16/2012

Join us this Sunday, December 16 – the 3rd Sunday in Advent.

“One Quiet Night” Christmas Cantata/Drama will be presented in our unified worship service starting at 9:00am.

Christmas and stress. They seem to go hand in hand. Why is it that the time of “Peace on Earth” is anything but peaceful? In “One Quiet Night”, a harried mom, Kelly, frantically pushes through the rush of the Christmas season until an unexpected accident forces her to stop dead in her tracks. Left at home alone while her family goes to church, Kelly discovers that the important thing at Christmas is not what gets her attention, but Who.

The First Sunday in Advent, we lit the candle of Hope . . . we lit the Hope candle to remind us that our hope is in Jesus and to watch for His return.

The Second Sunday in Advent, we lit the candle of Peace . . . We lit the Peace candle to remind us that our Lord Jesus brings peace to all who trust in Him.

This Sunday as we celebrate the Third Sunday in Advent, we will light the third candle – the candle of Joy  to remind us that Christ is the bringer of true and everlasting joy. He is the reason we celebrate this season.
