As you re-read Luke 9:1-36 Image you are actually there! See the
sights, hear the sounds, smell the smells, take in the whole
experience! Allow the Holy Spirit to put these experiences into motion
within your life!

Below are the answers to the eight blanks on the front side of the study sheet.

1) The disciples spot a huge community-wide need – hunger (v. 12).

2) The disciples come up with a plan to avoid addressing that need –
dismissal (v. 12).

3) Jesus tells his disciples to address the need (v. 13a).

4) The disciples think only in terms of what they have (five loaves
and two fish) and use that scarcity as a rationale for not responding
to the need (vv. 13b – 14a).

5) Jesus ignores their rationale and organizes the disciples to
respond to the need (v. 14b).

6) The disciples do as Jesus tells them to do and give him what few
resources they have (v. 15).

7) Jesus takes the few resources offered by the disciples, thanks God
for them, gives them back to the disciples and has them distribute
what he’s given back to the crowd (v. 16).

8) The need is met with resources to spare (v.17).
