1. What is the weirdest part of the story you just heard?
2. Why would the power of God at close range scare the people so much?
3. What will we do? What will you do? What will our congregation do? Prepare ourselves for the big changes that occur when evil is routed by the risen Lord, or politely ask Jesus to move on to the next person or the next congregation?

1. What do you learn about Jesus from the demon’s response to his presence?
2. How do you think someone comes under the control of a “Legion” of demons”? Do you believe that this can happen today?
3. Jesus sets the man free and he is immediate restored. Why do you think everyone does not get instantaneously restored like this man does?
