Dear Tabor Family,
Yesterday Gov. Wolf announced new COVID-19 restrictions as cases continue to surge. Hospitals are nearing their capacity and healthcare workers are overwhelmed. Additionally our Bishop has urged us “to prayerfully consider heeding with urgency, the recent mandates ordered by the governor”. “The new guidelines call for gatherings of no more than 10 people indoors”. “I firmly believe it is a wise, potentially lifesaving decision to do so. I am well aware that religious entities are exempt from these kinds of government mandates; but I still believe that pastors and churches need to lean toward extreme caution in these extreme circumstances. Please follow these new mandates. Doing so will save lives, reduce overcrowding of hospitals, and protect our churches from blame if someone contracts the virus from a church attender”. “The dawn of hope for the conquest of this disease will come if we all work together and follow these mandates. The vaccines are going to help eventually. But for now, we are responsible for taking care of ourselves and each other by doing our part”.
Therefore we will respectfully honor the request of the Governor and Bishop and refrain from in person Worship starting this Sunday, Dec. 13. We will continue to do worship online at 9 am on Facebook and offer our outdoor “Drive In” worship at 11 am.
Your physical, spiritual and emotional health are always our greatest concern. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and look forward to being together in the future. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Yours In Christ,
Pastor Ed
